Wake Forest Civic Ballet Welcomes Carolina Ballet Guest Artists for the Ballet's 2018 December "Nutcracker" Performances

Wake Forest Civic Ballet (WFCB), the not- for-profit performing ensemble of young dancers who are on track to become future dance professionals, announced today the addition of Carolina Ballet’s Alyssa Pilger and Nicholas Fokine, as guest artists in the company’s upcoming production of the Nutcracker. This family-friendly performance brings Clara’s journey to the Kingdom of the Sweets to life, with dazzling costumes, animated narration, and a talented ensemble of enthusiastic, young dancers.

Nicholas is the great-grandson of one of the most famous and groundbreaking choreographers of the 20th century, Michael Fokine. He and Alyssa will be dancing the roles of Sugar Plum and Cavalier in the December 15thperformance (7 pm). WFCB alums, Emma Furukawa and Richard Browne will also be returning to round out the cast on December 16th (3 pm).

The performance will also include a festive selection of holiday-inspired dances by the Destiny Dance Institute’s Jazz, Tap and Hip-Hop companies.
