Raleigh Dance Theatre presents their Spring Repertoire on Saturday, May 14, 2pm and 6pm, at Fletcher Theater, Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh.

Spring Repertoire features a dramatic dance rendition of The Sorcerer’s Apprentice. Set to Paul Dukas’ famous score and choreographed by Houston Ballet Academy Director of Education, Jennifer Sommers, this piece comes complete with dancing brooms and mysterious magic!

Also on the program is RDT’s premiere of Graduation Ball with music by Johann Strauss. This humorous historical classic depicts a first meeting between a boys and girls school for their end of year dance.

Artistic Director, Megan Marvel presents Twisted Tango set to Astor Piazzolla’s music that revolutionized the traditional tango incorporating elements of jazz and classical music. With the music as inspiration, Marvel combines elements of classical ballet and newer dance forms.

Rounding out the program is Artistic Director Emeritus, Mary LeGere’s, Danse Allegresse. Set to Franz Schubert’s 5th Symphony, this gorgeous piece of music is the backdrop for a neoclassical work that exudes beauty and joy.

General Admission Tickets for Spring Repertoire: $19.15 per person
