Theatre In The Park’s New Season invites you to “Join Our Family”- #TheatreInTheParkFamily
Raleigh, NC, July 10, 2018– Theatre In The Park is proud to announce our 2019 Season. We invite you to come Join Our Family! From our 220-seat indoor theatre in the historic NC Armory Building at the northern end of Pullen Park we bring you a season with passion, laughter and tears, special effects that will make you jump in your seat, and complex characters that speak to the soul and remind you what’s most important in life. There is something for everyone in our 2019 Season and we’d love to have you! Ira David Wood III and Ira David Wood IV star in David Mamet’s A Life in the Theatre, running February 8-24, 2019. The father-son-duo take on the two-man show about the lives of actors, passing the torch to a younger generation, and the inevitable and endless cycle of life, in and out of the theatre. Godspell brings us into spring, April 12-28, 2019, with a timeless tale of friendship, loyalty and love! Music and lyrics from Stephen Schwartz (known for Wicked and Pippin) uses song, dance and storytelling to relive the passion story and parables of the gospels. A theatrical celebration reminding us that kindness, tolerance and love should live vibrantly on. Next, our theatre transports you to Cape Cod on June 7-23, 2019 for Of Good Stock by Melissa Ross. Take a family summer vacation with the three Stockton sisters who are witty, brilliant, beautiful – and a total mess! While dealing with the loss of their father, their reunion ignites passions, humor, and wildly unanticipated upheavals as they go through their family summer house. The play is a raw, poignant and hilarious look at the fun and dysfunction of that thing we call family. Back by popular demand, Dracula reclaims the stage October 4-20, 2019. Ira David Wood III’s adaptation of Bram Stoker’s gothic tale examines the world’s most famous vampire. Dracula delves into the shadows, peers into the souls of men, and discovers the truth of hidden monsters lurking underneath the false veneer of Victorian society and norms. The perfect show to get you into the Halloween mood, enter if your dare! Theatre In The Park’s Season Members have exclusive access to purchase tickets to Ira David Wood III’s A Christmas Carol before they go on sale to the general public.
